Celtic Stained Glass Can Create A Traditional Look

Celtic stained glass, like all Celtic art and design, is known for its famous knot work and beautiful, intricate interlacing patterns. This lovely and endlessly popular style can give any area of your home a traditional stained glass look that will be the envy of anyone who comes in contact with it.

Celtic stained glass, Dallas homes and offices – together they are an excellent pairing. Here at Stained Glass Dallas, we have seen over our two decades in business that the Celtic style endures and is beloved by our clients. And with good reason!

The Celtic people trace their history all the way back to the eighth century, B.C. Although Celts are usually associated with the Irish and the Scots, in fact they were a multitude of different tribes who spread out across Europe. It is not just their unique and symbolic art that creates the interest in their culture today. Celtic music and dance are also widely popular and enduring. The same Celtic knots that we use in stained glass windows are also used extensively in jewelry as well.

But Celtic stained glass for Dallas will always incorporate the well known circles, knots, triskeles, spirals, and interlacing infinity designs that the style is known for. Those intertwined lines symbolized the Celts spiritual beliefs, particularly the relationship between the physical world and the world of spirit, and the word we enter once our physical time on this planet is ended. There is something extremely profound about Celtic designs; perhaps that is why they remain very sought after to this day. Particularly in the area of stained glass windows.

Would you like to see some of Stained Glass Dallas’s Celtic designs? These are windows and doors that we have already created for our clients over the past two decades. Take a look right here.

Celtic stained glass lends itself beautifully to entryways, to the front door and sidelights on either side of it. It of course can be done with colored glass, but there is something about the patterns themselves that show up superbly in leaded glass, using clear frosted glass and dark lead caming to really make the patterns pop. Although this is a traditional look, it seems to work well in modern homes as well as older models.

But having said that, honestly there is no area of the home where Celtic designs would look out of place. If you are attracted to these graceful and elegant designs, why not schedule an in-home consultation with one of our Stained Glass Dallas designers? He or she will come to your home and show you many different Celtic inspired designs, helping you choose the perfect pattern for any window or door in your home.
